Chapter 33:
YHVH tells Moses that He not ascend among the children of Israel, for they’re a stiff-necked people, lest He annihilates them on the way. (Verse 3).
The people heard this bad tiding and they didn’t don their jewelry. Moses the. Began to pitch the Tent of Meeting outside the camp, and there he would speak to YHVH. When Moses arrived at the tent the pillar if cloud would descend on the Tent, and stand a the entrance of the Tent. The entire people would see the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the Tent, and the entire people would rise and prostrate the,selves, everyone at the entrance of his tent. YHVH spoke to Moses face to face, as a man would speak to his fellow; them he would return to the camp. His servant Joshua son of Nun would not depart from within the Tent. (Verses 7 – 11).
Moses asks/intercedes for YHVH to travel near the people. YHVH allows Moses to see his goodness. YHVH tells Moses that He cannot allow Moses to see His face, (for no human can see My face and live), but YHVH allows Moses to see His back.
Chapter 34:
YHVH tells Moses to carve another 2 stone tablets to replace the ones he broke during the golden calf incident. YHVH tells Moses to prepare to ascend Mt. Sinai.
YHVH tells Moses of his 13 attributes. Moses asks again for YHVH to among the people. YHVH seals a covenant. He will make distinctions such as have never been created in the entire world and among all nations; and the entire people among whom you are will see the work of YHVH — which is awesome– that I am about to do (verse 10).
YHVH will drive out the Amorites, Canaanite, Hittite, Perrizite, Hivvite, and the Jebusite. “Be vigilant lest you seal a covenant with the n habitant of the land to which you come, lest it be a snare among you. Rather you should break apart their altars, smash their pillars, and cut down its sacred trees. For you shall not prostrate yourselves to an alien god, for the very Name of YHVH is ‘Jealous One’, He is a jealous God. Lest you seal a covenant with the inhabitant of the land and stray after their gods, slaughter to their gods, and he invite you and you eat for. His slaughter. And you take their daughters for our sons, and their daughters stray after their gods and entice your sons to stray after their gods!” (Verses 12 – 16).
1. You shall Not (emphasis added) make yourselves molten gods
2. You shall observe the Festival of Matzos: for a seven day period ou shal eat Matzos (in the appointed time n the month f springtime, in the month you went forth from Egypt).
3. Every first issue of a womb is Mine; as well as any of our livestock that produces a male, the first issue of an ox or a sheep. The first issue of a donkey ou shall redeem with a lamb or a kid and if ou do nt redeem it you shall axe the back if its neck. You shall redeem every firstborn of your sons. They shall not appear empty handed.
4. Six days shall you work and. The seventh day you shall desist, you shall desist from plowing and harvesting. You shall make the Festival of Weeks with the first offering of the wheat harvest; and the Festival if Harvest shall be at the changing of the year. Tree times a year all your males shall appear before The Lord YHVH, the God of Israel. For I shall banish nations before you and broaden your boundary; no man will covet your land when you go up to appear before YHVH, your God, three times a year.
5. You shall not slaughter My blood-offering while in the possessin of leavened food, nor may the feast-offering of the Pesach festival be left overnight until morning. The first of your kand’s early produce you shall bring to the Temple of YHVH, your Elohim. Do not cook a kid in its mother’s milk.
Moses’ face became radiant. He wore a mask when in he presence of the people but he removed the mask when in the presence of YHVH.
Chapter 35:
Moses assembled the people and commanded the. As YHVH had commanded him to do.
On six days work may be done, but the seventh day shall be holy for you, a day of complete rest for YHVH; whoever does work on it shall be put to death. You shall not kindle fire in any of your dwelling on the Sabbath day. (Verses 2-3).
Moses said to the children of Israel, take from yourselves a portion for YHVH gold, silver, copper, turquoise, purple and scarlet wool, linen, goat hair, red-dyed ram skins, tachash skins, acacia wood, oil for illumination, spices for the a ointment oil and the aromatic incense, shoham stones and stones for the settings, for the Ephod and the Breastplate. (Verses 5 – 9).
He asked every wise-hearted person to come and make everything that YHVH Has commanded, the Tabernacle, its Tent, it’s Cover, it’s hooks, its planks, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, the Ark, its staves, the Cover, the Partition-curtain, the Table, its staves, and all its utensils and the show-bread; the Menorah of illumination, its utensils, st lamps, its oil for illumination, the Incense Altar, its staves, the a ointment oil and incenses spices, the entrance-screen for the entrance of the Tabernacle, the Burnt-offering Altar, the copper netting,it’s staves and its utensils, the Laver and its base, the curtains for the Courtyard, its pillars, its sockets, and the screen gate of the Courtyard, the pegs of the Tabernacle, the pegs of the Courtyard, and their cords, the knit vestments to serve the Sanctury, the shared vestments for Aaron the Kohen and the vestments of his sons to minister. (Verses 10 – 19).
The people came as they were inspired.
Bezalel (in the shadow of YHVH), son of Uri (light), son of Hur (cavern), of the tribe of Judah (praise). He performed all of the crafts of the design.
Oholiab (Tabernacle of my father), son if Ahisamach (Brother of support), of the tribe of Dan (judge). He performed all the craft of the carver, weaver, embroiderer.
