CRP – Day 1: Genesis 1 – 3

Genesis 1:

Creation Day 1:
YHVH created light, but the Luminaries (i.e. sun, moon, stars) were not created until the 4th day. The earth was empty ( the earth wasn’t named until the 3rd day) and darkness was upon the surface of the deep (also referenced Gen 8:2, with Noah’s ark. CRP Day 3).  YHVH restored light where there was only darkness. He saw that the light was good, and He separated between the light and the darkness.

Again remember there is no sun, moon stars to produce/reflect light (they have not been created yet). YHVH called the light “Day” and to the darkness He called “Night”. The establishment of evening and morning, one day.

“Light was good”.

Creation Day 2:
Creation of Heaven. He placed a firmament to separate between water and water. (Water represents spirit)

After 2 days, there has been two separations. One between light and darkness. The 2nd between water and water.

The Torah does not say that the darkness was created, it already existed.  The Divine Presence hovered upon the surface of the waters (the water also already existed).

Creation Day 3:
“Gathered” waters beneath heaven to create seas, and to let the dry land appear.
Gathered waters were called seas. Dry land was called earth.
Earth sprouted vegetation, trees bearing fruit, herbage yielding seed.
(Trees represent believers)

“Elohim saw that it was good”.

Creation Day 4:
Luminaries created, their purpose — “to serve as signs, and for festivals, and for days and years;” also to shine upon the earth.
Two great luminaries, the greater to rule the day and the lesser to rule the night and the stars.
This is an additional (maybe) separation of light and darkness.

“Elohim saw that it was good”.

Creation Day 5:
The waters were to teem with living creatures, and fowl to fly over earth. YHVH created the great sea giants, every living being that creeps, waters teemed after their kinds, and all winged fowl of every kind.

1st time “be fruitful and multiply and fill in the seas, but the fowl shall increase o the earth”. (Had to be specific.

“Elohim saw that it was good”.

Creation Day 6:
Created animal, creeping thing, and beast of the land.
Created Man – “let us Make Man in Our image after Our likeness”.
Purpose of Man: rule over the fish of the sea, birds of the sky, over the animal, the whole earth, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.

Man:
Created Man “in His image, in the image of Elohim”, He created him; “male and female”. He created them.

2nd time: “Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, bird of the sky, and every living thing that ,over on the earth”

1st Behold, (mystery revealed) — herbage yielding seed o. The surface of the entire earth and every tree that has seed yielding fruit.

2nd Behold, after Elohim saw all that He had made and behold it was very good.
Genesis 2:
Creation Day 7:
Heaven and earth made, and all their array. Elohim had completed His work. He abstained on the 7th Day from all the work He had done.
He blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because on it He abstained from all His work which Elohim reacted to make.
YHVH created the Garden of Eden and put the man in the garden. Two trees in the Garden.  Tree of Life. Tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad.
Four Rivers:
Pishon encircles the whole and of Havilah. The Gold of the land is good, the bedolach is their and the shoham stone.

Gihon encircles the whole land of Cush.
Hiddekel flows east toward Assyria
Euphrates
Man purpose in the garden to work and guard it.
Commanded man, of every tree in the garden you may freely it BUT of the tree of knowledge of good and bad for on The day you do you shall surely die.
A helper corresponding to man created.  Not good for man to be alone.
Man named all the creatures that YHVH had formed from. The ground.
Bone of bone, flesh of flesh called eeshah (wife).
Leave and cleave. Both naked and not ashamed.
Genesis 3:
The serpent entices the woman (she has not yet been named by Adam). The serpent lies/deceives the woman. He tells her that she “will not surely die”. She. Will e like YHVH knowing good and bad.
The woman PERCEIVED ( my emphasis):
 1. The tree was good for eating
2. A delight to the eyes
3. Tree was desirable as a means to wisdom
She took its fruit and she ate.  She gave some also to her husband and he ate. The eyes of both of them were opened and they realized they were naked.
They sewed together a fig leaf and made themselves aprons. (The fruit was not an apple but a FIG).
They hid from YHVH.
YHVH asked ” Where are you?” (YHVH obviously knows the answer, it’s like YHVH is saying you are not here meeting me at our appointed time ).
Adam is afraid, (disobedience, opens the door to fear).
Adams tells YHVH that he’s naked. YHVH questions how he knows this, He questions f Adam ate of the tree he wasn’t supposed to eat from?
Adams blames the woman.
The woman blames the serpent.
YHVH curses the serpent.
YHVH increases the woman suffering and your childbearing. ” In ain shall you bear children.” Her craving is for her husband and he shall rule over her.
YHVH cursed the ground because of Adam.  “Through suffering  you shall eat of it all the days of your life.”  Thorns and thistles shall it sprout for you. And you shall eat the herb of the field. By e sweat of your brow shall you eat bread until you return to the ground from which you were taken. For you are dust and to the dust shall you return.
Adam named his wife Eve, b/c she became the mother of all the living.
YHVH made them garments of skin and he clothed them.
YHVH banished the many and his wife from the garden of Eden, to prevent them from eating of the Tree of Life, and living forever in this fallen state.
YHVH banished them from the garden of Eden to work the soil from which He had taken them. After driving them out he stationed at the East of the Garden of Eden the Cherubim and the flame of the ever-turning sword, to guard the tree log life.
