Corona Virus 2019-2020

There has been a lot of press and media presence regarding the CoronaVirus this winter. According to the CDC the initial cases were discovered in Wuhan, China at a Seafood Market. I just recorded the Chronological Reading Plan Day 47, Leviticus 11-13. Leviticus Chapter 11 YHVH tells us what we can and cannot eat of the animals. I want to focus on two sets of animal groups the fish and birds. YHVH is very clear in His Word about what we can and cannot eat.

Leviticus 11:9-12  “ This may you eat from everything that is in the water: everything that has fins and scales in the water, in the seas, and in the streams, those may you eat. And everything that does not have fins and scales in the seas and then the streams —from all the teems in the water, and from all the living creatures in the water—they are in abomination to you. And they shall remain an abomination to you; you shall not eat of their flesh and you shall not abominate their carcass. Everything that does not have fins and scales in the water-it is an abomination to you.”

Leviticus 11:13-19 “ The show you abominate from among the birds, they may not be eaten – they are an abomination: the nesher, the peres, the ozinah; the daah and the ayah according to its kind; every orev according to its kind; the kos, the shalach, and the yanshuf; the tinshemes, the kaas, and the racham; the chasidah, the anafah according to its kind, the duchifas, and the atalef.”

Leviticus 11:13-19 (NKJV) “And these you shall regard as an abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination; the eagle, the vulture, the buzzard, the kite, and the falcon after its kind; every raven after its kind, the ostrich, the short-eared owl, the sea gull, and the hawk after its kind; the little owl, the fisher owl, and the screech owl; the white owl, the jackdaw, and the carrion vulture; the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.”

An abomination, Strong H8263 definition – abomination, something abominable use the unclean persons and things especially belonging to idolatry. Leviticus 11:10, 12, 13, 20, 23, 41, 42; Isaiah 66:17.

Our reward for listening to YHVH regarding how to deal with unclean animals, fish, birds, and insects is found in Lev 26:1-13, Deut 7:12-24 and Deut 28:1-14.

Lev 26:1-13 – “ you shall not make idols for yourselves, and you shall not direct for yourselves a statue or a pillar, and in your land you shall not in place of flooring stone upon which to prostrate oneself—for I am YHVH, your God. My Sabbaths shall you observe and My Sanctuary shall you revere—I am YHVH. If you will follow My decrees and observe My commandments and perform them; then I will provide your rains and their time, and the land will give you its produce and the tree of the field will give its fruit. Your threshing will last until the vintage, and the vintage will last until the sowing; you will eat your bread to satiety and you will do well securely in your land. I will produce peace in the land, and you will lie down with nothing to frighten you; I will cause wild beasts to withdraw from the land, and the sword will not cross your land. You will pursue your enemies; and they will follow before you by the sword. Five of you will pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you will pursue ten thousand; and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. I will turn My attention to you, I will make you fruitful and increase you; and I will establish My covenant with you. You will eat very old grain and remove the old to make way for the new. I will place My sanctuary among you; in My spirit will not reject you. I will walk among you, I will be God into you and you will be a people on to Me. I am YHVH, your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt from being their slaves; I broke the staves of your yoke and I led you erect.”

Deuteronomy 7:12-16 “ this shall be the reward when you hearken to these ordinances, and you observe and perform them; YHVH,  your God, will safeguard for you the covenant in the kindness that He swore to your forefathers. He will love you, bless you and multiply you, and He will bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your Land; your green, your wine, and your oil; the offspring of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep and goats; on the Land that He swore to your forefathers to give you. You will be the most blessed of all the peoples; there will be no infertile male or infertile female among you or among your animals. YHVH will remove from you every illness; and all the bad maladies of Egypt that you knew—He will not put them upon you, but will put them upon all your foes. You will devour all the people that YHVH, your God, will deliver to you; your eyes you’re not pity them; you shall not worship their gods, for it is a snare for you. 

Deuteronomy 28:1-14 “It shall be that if you hearken  to the voice of YHVH, your God, to observe, to perform all his commandments that I command you this day, then YHVH, your God, will make you supreme over all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you, if you hearken to the voice of YHVH, your God:

Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your animals; the offspring of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep and goats. Blessed shall be your fruit basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed show you be when you go out. YHVH shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be struck down before you; on one road will they go out toward you in on seven roads will they flee before you. YHVH will command the blessing for you in your storehouses and your every undertaking; and He will bless you in the Land that YHVH, your God, gives you. YHVH  will confirm you for Himself  as a holy people, as He swore to you—if you observe the commandments of YHVH, your God, and you go in His ways. Then all the peoples of the earth will see that the name of YHVH  is proclaimed over you, and they will revere you. YHVH shall give the bountiful goodness, in the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your animals and the fruit of your ground, on the ground that YHVH swore to your forefathers to give you. YHVH shall open for you His storehouse of goodness, the heavens, to provide rain for your Land and its time, and to bless all your handiwork; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. YHVH shall place you as a head and not as a tail; you shall be only above and you shall not be below—if you hearken to the commandments of YHVH, your God, that I command you today, to observe and to perform; and you do not turn away from any of the words that I command you this day, right or left, to follow gods of others, to worship them.”                           

If we listen Him, to observe and perform his Word and commandments then we will have no fear of the CoronaVirus, SwineFlu, SARS, MERS, or any other bad malady that befalls Egypt. The answer to our troubles can be found in the Word, and through prayer and fasting. YHVH is not surprised by this illness.
