A listing of scriptures that JUMP out at me:

  • Ex 21:10 — “If he shall take another in addition to her, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing or her marital relationship.”
  • Exodus 21:23 “But if there shall be a fatality, then you shall award a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a hand for a hand, a foot for a foot; a burn for a burn, a wound for a wound, a bruise for a bruise.”
  • I Kings 18:21 “Elijah approached all the people and said, ‘How long will you dance between two opinions? If YHVH is the God, go after Him! and if the Baal, go after it!”

    Proverb 6:16 “YHVH hates these six, but the seventh is the abomination of His soul: haughty eyes a false tongue, and hands spilling innocent blood, a heart plotting iniquitous thoughts, feet hasten to run to evil, a false witness spouting lies; and one who stirs up strife among brothers.”
