The 6 Cities of Refuge.

Moses names the first of the three of the six cities of refuge in Deuteronomy 4:41 – 43.

These are on the bank of the Jordan toward the rising sun.

Bezer (Gold Ore or Remote Fortress) in the wilderness in the plain of Reuben (see a son).

Ramoth (heights) in Gilead(rocky region) of Gad (fortunate)

Golan (their captivity/their rejoicing) in the Bashan (fruitful) of Manassah (causing to forget).

Joshua names the other three cities in Joshua 20:7 – 9

Kedesh (holy place) in Galilee (circuit,district) in the mountains of Naphtali (wrestling).

Shechem (back or shoulder) in the mountains of Ephraim (doubly fruitful).

Kiriath-arba (City of Four/City of Arba) which is Hebron (association) in the mountains of Judah (praise)
