I have been thinking about this. If not careful, this word “wait” will cause complacency. Usually, when YHVH wants us to “wait” he doesn’t seem to use the word “wait” but he says “be still or stand still”. WhenI looked up this word, it has a lot of meanings and of course withEnglish, most words are used incorrectly. It seems that this word “wait” to YHVH means “serve” which is possibly where we get words and phrases like waiter or wait tables; you are serving. So the more we study and pray [the more we] are able to hear and know what HIS WILL IS; In that way we are able to “wait or serve” him. So when we “Wait on the LORD” we are to “Serve YHVH. Also, remember, whenever you see LORD in all caps, the translators changed YHVH to LORD [or THE LORD].
