CRP – Day 3: Genesis 8 – 11

Chapter 8:

The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were closed. The waters then receded from upon the earth. The receded for 150 days. The Ark came. Forest j. The 7th month, the 17th day of the month on Mt. Ararat.
In the 10th month, 1st of the month the tops of the mountains became visible.
Noah sent out the raven but it kept going out and returning until the waters dried on the earth. He sent out the dove, but the dove cold nit find a resting place for the so,e of its foot. He waited 7 days and sent the dove out again. The dove came back n the evening with and olive leaf. He waited another 7 days and the dove did not return.
In the 601st year, the 1st month on the 1st of the month, the waters dried on the earth. Noah removed the covering on the Ark. In the 2nd month on the 27th day of the month the earth was fully dried.
Elohim tells Noah to go for. The Ark, him, his wife, his sons, and his sons wives. Noah built an altar to YHVH and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered a burnt offering on the altar.  
Verses 21-22:
“YHVH smelled the leasing aroma, and YHVH said in His heart: ‘I will not continue to curse again the ground because of man, since the imagery of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again continue to smite every living being as I have done. Continuously, all the days of the earth, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.'”
Chapter 9:
YHVH tells Noah and his sons to be fruitful and multiply. He tells them not eat flesh with its soul it’s blood you shall not eat. He establishes his covenant with Noah. He will never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth (verse 11).
Sign of this covenant is the rainbow.
Noah debased himself and planted a vineyard. He Fran and became drunk. Ham saw the nakedness of his father and told his brother’s outside. Shem and Japheth took a garnet outfit on their shoulders and walked backwards and covered their father’s nakedness.
Noah cursed Canaan, “Cursed is Canaan; a slave of slaves shall he be to his brothers.” (Verse 25)
Verse 26-27:
And he said, ‘Blessed is YHVH, the God of Shem; and let Canaan be a slave to them. May God extend Japheth, but he will dwell in the tents of Shem; may Canaan be a slave to them.”
Noah lived 350 years after the flood. All the days of his life were 950 years.

The Tower of Babel. Te people wanted to make a name for theirselves, by making a city with a tier to the heavens.  YHVH descended and confused their language of the whole earth and YHVH scattered them over the face of the earth.
