Eliphaz is the father of Teman Omar, Zepho, batam, and Kenaz.Timna was his concubine.
She bare to Elihaz, Amalek.
Bildad – “Contender”, a Shuhite — Son of Abraham and Keturah.
Shua – “wealth”
Zophar – “sparrow”; chirping; a Naamathite — “pleasantness”; Naaman, possibly a descendant of Benjamin?
Chapter 1:
Job lived in the land of Uz. He was a wholesome man who feared UHVH and shunned evil. He had 7 sons and 3 daughters.
His possessions:
1. 7,000 sheep and goats
2. 3,000 camels
3. 500 pair of cattle
4. 500 she-donkeys
And very many enterprises. He was the wealthiest man in the East.
Job would rise early and make offerings for his children.
Verse 5:
“….Perhaps my children have sinned and blasphemed YHVH in their hearts.”
HaSatan asks YHVH, “Is it for nothing that Job fears God?” HaSatan if you take away all of his things will he not blaspheme You to Your face? (Verse 11).
A messenger came to Job saying:
1. The Sabeans came and seized the oxen and the she-donkeys, and killed the servants.
2. A fire from God fell from the heavens, it burned among the sheep and the servants and consumed them.
3. The Chaldeans formed 3 divisions and deployed around the camels and seized them and struck down the servants by the edge of the sword.
4. Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in the home of their eldest brother, when behold a great wind came from across for. He desert. It struck the four corners of the house, it collapsed upon the men and killed them.
Job stood up and ripped his shirt, he tore his head. He threw himself upon the ground and prostrated himself. He said, “Naked did I emerge from my mother’s womb and naked shall I return there. YHVH has given and YHVH has taken away, blessed be the Name of YHVH. Despite all of this Job did not sin nor ascribe impropriety to Elohim.
Chapter 2:
HaSatan says to YHVH, “Skin for the sake of skin! Whatever a man has he would give up for his life! But send forth Your hand Nd touch his bone and his flesh, and sure,y he will blaspheme You to Your face! (Verses 4&5).
HaSatan afflicted Job with severe boils from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. Job’s wife said, “Do you still maintain your wholesomeness? Blaspheme God and die!.”
Job said to her, “You talk as any impious woman might talk. Furthermore should we accept good from Elohim and not accept the bad? Despite everything Job did not sin with his lips.
Job’s three friends heard about this total calamity that had befallen him and each one of them came for. His place.

They sat for a period of 7 days and 7 nights. No one said a word to him, for they saw his pain was very great. After that Job opened his mouth and cursed his day.
